Catching up

First let me start my saying I am still alive! Just have had too many things going on at once with no time to spare. Which really s.ucks!

After Mickey sickness, I got sick and unfortunately had to work which did not help at all!

As you all know when one gets sicks it is most likely all get sick including the Parents!

Finally I have a germ free house, and we are all finally feeling well...

I have been busy with my honey do list, but as you all know how OCD I am that I have intervened on almost all of the choirs at hand! LOL

My garage had been converted into a storage and it was driving my mad! I have very little closet space in my house and with a total of 5 household members it can easily get out of control!

So, I made my way to Home Depot and bought a 10'x8' shed. Hubby was off work on Saturday and we decided to tackle this project! Let me just say that my hubby does not have one crafty bone in his body! I will just spare you the details, but you must know it was not easy! LOL

After many hours we finally got it up and we are now in the process of clearing out the garage.

In between so many projects I have been able to re-decorate our master bedroom and hand new curtains in the Great Room. Will post pictures soon!

The next project we have is to make Joey a new headboard for his room and a room make over as well. He saw this headboard (click next 9 times it is the Mandal series) at IKEA and he just loved it. Well the way it was set up at the store required 4 of these said headboards in order for it to look like how it was displayed. That would be a total of $637.32 with tax not including the platform! So I bought all of the wood materials for a less than $50.00.

This is my next project! Hopefully it will get done starting in 3 weeks. Why 3 weeks to start this project? Because Hubby's family is coming up for vacation and will be in for two weeks! Oh and I go on vacation for Spring Break.

So needless to say I have a couple of busy weeks ahead of me! Oh and if you want to know how it went the last time we had the same family here feel free to read this post! Don't get me wrong I LOVE my extended family. What I hate is poor parenting, lack of respect for adults from the kids part, seeing my SIL just lay back and let my MIL take care of the kids, no discipline at ALL, seeing the boy be disrespectful to both the mother and the grandmother (ex spitting in their face, hitting, hitting each other over food! etc...) These kids are 5 and 6. I do not consider them babies. I would NEVER EVER let my kids get away with 1/4 of what these kids do. Needless to say I KNOW it will be stressful. They will be staying at a resort close to our house for 1 week and then they will be at my house for the 2ND week.

So will ya do me a favor? Send prayers and good vibes to my neck of the woods, because I know I WILL need them. All I ask GOD to give me is patience...

I do remember the last time the family came over and how hurt you were. I hope that things go much better this time.
It sounds like you have been very busy and have some great projects going. Thank you so much for your donation to the postage fund. Starfish received the first 6 boxes today and were thrilled. I have't posted it yet.
