About two weeks ago the kids Pediatrician suggested that we take Joey to a dermatologist to have a mole in his back looked at. My Mom had told me to have it removed for a long time and to tell you the truth I just kept pushing it back.

I guess when the Dr. recommended it was when I knew we had to do this ASAP. The only reason I had not given it any priority was due to the fact that almost all of the members of the family have this birthmark including myself, only in different parts of the body.

When the Dr. came in he introduced himself and then asked me where his mother was! I told him that I WAS his mother. He then laughed and told me he thought I was his older sister! (How the heck he came to my conclusion I have no idea! LOL) I will be turning a year older this Saturday and that made me feel a lot better! LOL

He said that it did have different colors and that he would remove it then and there. Joey face was in shock! I assured him that it would not hurt. It is funny in all his almost 6ft of height and manly features that are showing more and more each day he is still my baby!

The doctor removed the mole and sent it in to the lab. The results should be in, in two weeks. I pray that all comes out ok and that it is truly just a birthmark and that there be no abnormal cells. Please have him in your thoughts and prayers! I would greatly appreciate it...

PS.... Even though I have not commented on your blogs I have been reading them really quick from my bloglines! I promise I will get back on track with all of you!
