In Memory of...

Four years ago today I receive one of the most tragic calls in my life… Mickey was a shy of two months of age and I had spent a great summer with the boys. We stilled lived in PR I was on Maternity leave since May. I remember my Mom’s voice when she told me that she had gotten a call from my ex BIL son from his first marriage. He told him that he had gotten a call from an old class mate and told him that his Dad was tragically killed

I started to shake and could not even tell my husband what was going on. I immediately called my sister she had just moved to Orlando FL and was all alone over there with her boys. She had just gotten a divorce. The phone was busy as I kept on dialing, I kept telling my husband OMG, OMG it is true her phone is busy OMG. He had no clue and he took the phone from me and hold me near him. He new something was wrong but had no clue what. I was able to calm down and tell him the news mom had told me. He then tried to call on his phone while I called from mine and it finally rang. I just heard the crackle in her voice and new that it was true. My forever BIL was dead. My brother, my friend was gone forever… I knew him since I was 11 years old and he had started to date my older sister. He had always been there when I needed him. We shared a special bond…

OMG how could it be I kept telling myself… He had been in my home two weeks before I had Mickey and he would rub my belly to feel his kicks… He was Little Luis Godfather and he had bought him some Scooby Doo PJ’s. My sister always understood the bond that we had and she always new that he would always be a part of my family even though they were no longer together.

I miss him so much… Hubby and me sometimes while driving down the road to do something with the boys always tell each other how fun it would have been to do these things with him…

He would be so proud of his boys as they are becoming very fine young men. They are so respectful and so warm… Tony has his same smile and does so many things like his dad it gives me chills down my spine. And my godson Alex looks just like him…

Little Luis still remembers his godfather and still has his PJ’s. He will forever be in my heart! We Love you and miss you so much!

RIP
Jose

Can’t understand the reason why
You’d never suspect a friend to die
So close to all of us
Hurt turns to fear
He’ll always and forever stay near
Wish that he is happy
He deserves so much more
The pain that he felt
Is no more.
If you are listening
I want you to know
We miss
We didn’t want you to go

There Here!

My boys are home!!!! We picked them up at the airport on Friday and I was almost out of breath getting to my kids. For some reason the plane got here 1/2 earlier than it was supposed to and you can just imagine my heart pounding when I receive a call from Joey on my cell phone while I was driving into the airport.

I really freaked out and drove like a mad woman to got get my boys! (Really careful). Then I had to go to the ticket counter to go and get a special ticket to go and pick them up at the gate. I had to pass through security and all. The line was immense and thankfully a security personnel noticed that I was going in to pick up some kids and let me go in front...

I breathed a breath of release when I saw my boys there sitting in that room and I was able to have them in my arms. (I forgot my camera so no pictures of them actually arriving) We took them to eat and had just an awesome time....

My MIL made little Luis an album with pictures of his birthday and all the places he visited...

Above are some pictures of the boys and my nephew (he is staying home for a couple of days) and some new members of our family like Dory the beta fish that in truly a male fish but try and explain that to a 4 year old and then we have Cody the surfer dude! This is Mickeys new best friend from Build a Bear...

Let the madness begin, but you know what I welcome it with open arms! My cubs are home!

Back to blogger world

Wow it has been a while and believe me not my intention to keep away from Blogger for such a long time…

Last week I got a bad attack of a Migraine that did not let me function at all. I stayed home from work on Friday cause I just could not function. Staying home with a 4 year old really did not help a lot but thankfully I am feeling much better.

My DH bought me some beautiful roses on Saturday but I could not bear the smell of them due to the migraine. I took some pictures but have not had time to upload them yet.

My house has been so quiet lately it is just not fun anymore… My kids will soon be in my arms and I just can’t wait. I really miss them. I have had a lot of people tell me “Your on Vacation” and I just smile and stay quiet. I am not on vacation, my kids could drive me crazy sometimes, but they are my life… But all is good just 2 more nights of sleep and then they will be with me!!!!

Mickey on the other hand has been so talkative lately it is just too funny. I guess he feels alone at home and he just talks till I tell him it is time to sleep. One thing he really has been doing lately is coming up to me and says “Mommy I love you a lot” and it just melts my heart away!

I am all caught up in my reading and I am just thrilled that some of my bloggy friends had such a great time at Bodacious Blogger 2007! It was really nice reading all of their posts and knowing that they have made a lifetime relationship with one another…

Next Post will be a picture of my boys back in my arms!!! Stay tuned…

10 More Days

Only 10 more days until I have all my cubs in one cave. Two out of my Three kids are coming back home in 10 days and I have a count down on every calendar I have. I miss my kids so much, I can not even describe in words.
All I can say is that we will celebrate all weekend long. We will take them to their favorite restaurant on Friday. Saturday it is off the the Mall to get them their belated birthday presents and on Sunday we will be off the water park...

A true Yankee Fan could only know!

Wow let me tell you all that we had the most amazing time on Saturday!
My cousin Harry "Indio" was down here in the South in FL.

He is on a reality show called the Ultimate Road Trip . It is from Yes Network. In this show they are 6 people living in a house together. They are divided into two teams and compete to win tickets to Yankee games all around the country. I think the show is about 7 months long and at the end the player who wins goes to the most amount of games is declared the Ultimate Fan and Road Tripper. He is able to interact with the Yankee Players, and he really LOVES it. He is truly an Yankee Fan... At the end whoever wins get a Truck, and some other cool prizes.

So he called us up an told us that he would be in Tampa for a couple of Days... My Mom, my sis Janet and myself cooked up some Latin food for him and his teammates as well as the production Crew. They just loved it!

I really hopes he wins!!!! Here is a slide show of the pictures...

Happy Anniversary To Us!

This post is dedicated to my husband Luis on our 5th Wedding Anniversary.

It has been almost 9 years since you came into my life and changed it forever. You are truly my soul mate. You took Joey in your heart as your very own and never have hesitated on being his father. Little Luis and Gian Michael think that you are the BEST DAD EVER and for that I am truly honored, that not only I have my Best Friend as my husband, my kids have the Best Daddy Ever

We have been through very hard times, and our love has prevailed. You have dried my tears when I am sad and you have also cried with me. You, yes you are my one and true love. We have the most amazing family and I feel so blessed that we are together.

I love you “Mi Gordo
Happy Anniversay!

Happy Birthday Little Luis!

Birthday Graphics

I want to say Happy Birthday to my son Luisito! I hope you have such a great time your grandmother and your cousins over there in Puerto Rico!

This is the first and I will say last year that he spends his birthday away from me... I miss him so much! Like Stephie would say "I miss my cub!"

He will have a GREAT time today as he is in Summer Camp and they have a field trip to a water park! My Mother in law will be going with him and has arranged for a cake and goodie bags for the kids at the camp to celebrate his Birthday.

Time is going by so fast! He is already 7!

I was tagged by Kimberly at redmaryjanes on a Meme of my kids nicknames. I decided to take the same approach as Kimberly and post pictures of my kids as babies. So off I went to get the pictures of the kids and realized that I really need to get on picture organizing project! It is way out of control and I have pictures everywhere, except were I thought they would be...

This is Jose Javier he just turned 15 and is all grown. I started calling him Joey since he was a baby. My Mom also calls is Javierlito which is his middle name. All his friends call him by his first name.

Above is Luis Raul III. We have always called him Luisito. It gets confusing when is paternal Grandparents are around because this is what they call his Dad Luis Raul II.

And last we have Gian Michael. I always call him Mickey. My Mom and Sister call him "Jincho" which mean white in Spanish because of his pale complexion. You can not notice this much in this picture, but he is very pale skinned.
(Am I the only one that can't put a title on the posts!)

For some reason I CAN NOT put on the Title on this post! Anyways:

Just a quick update! We had a real good time on the 4th, until that is when it just poured cats and dogs!

We went to the water park with the whole gang in tow. Not my gang but my sis with her kids and my Mom with my Dad also made it. I was really grateful that Daddy was able to make it. With all the traveling that he does he is rarely home for this kind a of holiday.

I forgot my camera (Bad Mommy) and was upset cause it was the first time that Mickey got in the Wave pool and did not cling on my neck for his life. He has always been terrified of the big pools. He went in with his Daddy and when I went to look for them in the kiddy pool they were not there. So I started walking around the park and found them in the big wave pool. He was so proud!

At around 4:00pm we decided to pack our things and go across the street to Busch Gardens. As soon as we passed the entrance it started to rain. So we decided to go get a bite to eat at the smoke house and trekked through the rain to the other side of the park to the restaurant. Well let me tell you that we were not the only ones with this idea as the restaurant was packed.

At around 6:00 pm it was still pouring and we decided to go home. Usually our neighborhood has great fire works so I just figured that I would take a quick nap till around 9:00 and the put some chairs outside and enjoy the show! Ha! Who was I kidding I was just zonked out of it! I did not even see them on the TV shows that were airing. This is the first fourth of July that I did not see any fireworks at all! Oh well better luck next year!

Weekend Recap

Anyone wanna come by and help me clean some windows? Just kidding... But I really need to get on this one on my TO DO LIST.

I took Little Luis to get his hair cut this weekend. Finally started and finished doing is luggage for this Trip to Puerto Rico.

::Sigh::

Not looking forward to 24 days without another one of my kids. It will be just Luis (he's not home till 9:00pm), Mickey and myself...

We took the boys to see ratatouille on Sunday and they really enjoyed it. I on the other hand got kind of squeamish! I don't care if they are animated rats, they still are rats and it really grossed my out when they showed hundred of the on a Gigantic Screen! Huh I even gagged at one point...

The kids loved the movie, I personally thought it was a tad too long. (Rats!)

I will be dropping of Little Luis in the airport this Tuesday and I am glad that we made arrangements for him to travel with Luis's step-son who is on vacation here... And on the flight home he will travel with Joey. (I would never put him on a plane Alone!)

Not sure how I am gonna feel these next days with 2 out of 3 of my kids away from me.

We plan to take Mickey to a Adventure Island on the 4th of July during the day and then just cross the street and take him to see the fireworks at Busch Gardens.

To all of my Bloggy Friends hope you have a Great 4th of July!!!!
